Regular Season Round 7: San Vendemiano - Cividale 89-82

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked San Vendemiano (4-2) beat at home 4th placed Eagles (4-3) 89-82 on Saturday. San Vendemiano made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Eagles were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Andrea Tassinari (187-96, agency: SLN) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Center Jacopo Vedovato (205-95) helped adding 22 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Eugenio Rota (178-99, agency: SLN) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Giovanni Fattori (203-85) scored 21 points. Four San Vendemiano and five Eagles players scored in double figures. San Vendemiano moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Roseto and Chiusi. Newly promoted Eagles dropped to the second position with three games lost. San Vendemiano will face V. Padova (#7) on the road in the next round. Eagles will play against Senigallia (#8) and hope to win that game.
