There was a surprise result in Ozzano dell Emilia where fifteenth ranked Firenze (2-5) won against higher ranked Flying Balls (3-3) 82-72 on Saturday. Firenze made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game. Flying Balls were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for center Tommaso De Gregori (203-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Davide Poltroneri (195-85) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. At the losing side swingman Nicola Mastrangelo (196-98) responded with 16 points and 5 assists and point guard Mario Chiusolo (187-91) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Firenze moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 11 other teams. Loser Flying Balls keep the eighth position with three games lost. Firenze will face Cecina (#10) at home in the next round. Flying Balls will play against Use Basket in Empoli and hope to win that game.
