Regular Season Round 16: AZS PS Gliwice - Bielsko-Biala 81-96

Very expected game when bottom-ranked AZS PS Gliwice (0-15) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Bielsko-Biala (9-6) 96-81 on Saturday. Bielsko-Biala looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Wojciech Zub (181-95) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (187-86) who added 14 points, 11 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Five Bielsko-Biala players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Maciej Wasowicz (182-92) responded with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 9 steals and point guard Jakub Zawadzki (180-98) scored 17 points and 7 assists. AZS PS Gliwice's coach Sylwester Walczuk tested twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bielsko-Biala moved-up to fourth place, which they share with LKS Lodz and Legia 2. Newly promoted AZS PS Gliwice still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Bielsko-Biala will face higher ranked AZS AWF Mick. (#3) in Katowice in the next round and it may be the game of the week. AZS PS Gliwice will play on the road against AZS PCz (#8) in Czestochowa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
