Regular Season Round 9: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Le Mans 74-53

Pau-Lacq-Orthez's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Le Mans (4-4) 74-53. Pau-Lacq-Orthez dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Le Mans' 30. Pau-Lacq-Orthez forced 21 Le Mans turnovers and outrebounded them 45-34 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was swingman Maydenn Nnah-Ndong (193-0) who scored 16 points. Guard Fabio Milanese (192-3) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Hugo Mienandi (199-3) who recorded 10 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Mathias Van-Den-Beemt (213-1) added 6 points and 10 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pau-Lacq-Orthez maintains eighteenth place with 1-6 record. It was Le Mans' third loss in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's next round opponent will be higher ranked Le Portel (#7) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
