Regular Season Round 9: Chalon - ASVEL 62-52

Very important is a road loss of third ranked ASVEL (5-2) against fifth ranked Chalon (5-2) on Saturday night. Visiting ASVEL was defeated by Chalon in Chalon 62-52. Point guard Ismael Roche (180-99) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and swingman Claudien Eliezer-Vanerot (192-1) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was power forward Kevin Kokila (204-1) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Darryl Doualla (191-4) scored 12 points and 6 steals. ASVEL's coach Anthony Brossard rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chalon have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated ASVEL. Chalon will play against league's leader Strasbourg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ASVEL will play against Levallois and hopes to get back on the winning track.
