Regular Season Round 16: Brest - RGUOR 74-81

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked RGUOR (3-10) defeated on the road 7th ranked Brest (4-10) 81-74. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. RGUOR dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Brest's 36. RGUOR forced 23 Brest turnovers. The winners were led by forward Daniil Kosko (189-4) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and point guard Timur Michailov (196-4) supported him with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 8 points and 15 rebounds by center Mikhail Rahashchuk (204-3) did not help to save the game for Brest. Guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Brest's coach Alexandr Fedorchyk rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. RGUOR maintains ninth position with 3-10 record. Brest at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. RGUOR's next round opponent will be league's leader Grodno at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
