Regular Season Round 16: AZS UW - Tur Bielsk Pdl. 87-92

Very expected game in Warszawa where 10th ranked AZS UW (6-8) was defeated by second ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (13-2) 92-87 on Saturday. Tur Bielsk Pdl. made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Tur Bielsk Pdl. outrebounded AZS UW 42-27 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Lukasz Kuczynski (196-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds and guard Kacper Rojek (190-0) who added 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Maksymilian Motel (194-0) responded with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Dariusz Sarnacki (198-93) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five AZS UW players scored in double figures. Tur Bielsk Pdl. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-2 record having just one victory less than leader AZS UMCS. Loser AZS UW dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will face Isetia (#12) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS UW will play on the road against Zyrardow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
