No shocking result in a game in Ostrow Mazowiecki where third ranked Ostrow Mazow. (10-5) won against 8th ranked Zubry (6-8) 80-74 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian point guard Aleksander Szczerbatiuk (177-96) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 assists and center Lukasz Paul (205-89) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Ostrow Mazow.'s coach Grzegorz Helcbergiel let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Andrzej Misiewicz (199-84, college: Daytona St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Arkadiusz Zabielski (196-84) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Ostrow Mazow. maintains third position with 10-5 record having just one point less than leader AZS UMCS, which they share with AZS AWF Mick. and Tarn.Gory. Loser Zubry dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. Ostrow Mazow. will have a break next round. Zubry will play at home against Pabianice (#13) and hope to win that game.
