Regular Season Round 14: Wisla Krakow - Tecza Leszno 59-44

There was an upset when higher ranked Tecza Leszno (7-7) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Wisla Krakow (2-13) 59-44 on Saturday. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Tecza Leszno's 22. They outrebounded Tecza Leszno 47-29 including 36 on the defensive glass. Center Klaudia Wnorowska (185-3) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Patrycja Rogalska (180-1) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Point guard Iga Walentowska (170-94) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Justyna Holtyn (185-94) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wisla Krakow maintains tenth position in Group B with 2-13 record. Newly promoted Tecza Leszno keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Wisla Krakow will face higher ranked Katy Wrocl. (#6) in Katy Wroclawskie in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tecza Leszno will play at home against Gorzow Wlkp. II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
