Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Gazelles (4-4) defeated on the road 11th ranked Tarbes (1-8) 80-65 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Belgian point guard Julie Allemand (173-96, agency: LBM Management) who scored 13 points and 7 assists. American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (188-96, college: Louisville) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Gazelles players scored in double figures. Gazelles' coach Thibaut Petit used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Margaux Galliou-Loko (183-93) who recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Swedish power forward Regan Magarity (190-96, college: Virginia Tech) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Gazelles maintains eighth place with 4-4 record. Tarbes lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Gazelles will meet higher ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tarbes will play against Bretagne (#5) in Pleyber-Christ and hope to win that game.
