Regular Season Round 16: Chelmno - AWFiS Gdynia 104-98

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked AWFiS Gdynia (1-12) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Chelmno (7-7) 104-98 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Chelmno made 31-of-34 free shots (91.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 AWFiS Gdynia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. AWFiS Gdynia was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Daniel Belski (191-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Krystian Rosinski (190-98) who added 24 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side swingman Maciej Dalak (189-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 9 steals (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Rafal Komenda (200-98, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 19 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AWFiS Gdynia's coach Pawel Pajewski tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chelmno moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 6 other teams. AWFiS Gdynia lost twelfth consecutive game. AWFiS Gdynia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Chelmno will face SMS PZKosz (#11) in Wladyslawowo in the next round where they are favorite. AWFiS Gdynia will play at home against Ogniwo Szcz. and hope to win that game.
