Regular Season Round 13: Tortona - Casale 83-43

Serie A2 top team - Tortona (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Casale (5-5) 83-43. They outrebounded Casale 42-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. American forward Jalen Cannon (198-93, college: SFC) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and point guard Bruno Mascolo (190-96, agency: Players Group) chipped in 17 points. Five Tortona players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Corban Collins (190-94, college: Alabama) responded with 11 points and the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-89) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Tortona. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Loser Casale dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Tortona will face Torino (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Casale will play against Verona and hope to win that game.
