Very predictable result when third ranked Split (12-4) outscored at home 11th ranked Dubrava (3-13) 99-65 on Sunday. Split made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Split outrebounded Dubrava 32-20 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Dubrava's players. The best player for the winners was Slovenian swingman Blaz Mesicek (197-97, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 20 points and 9 assists. The former international center Marin Maric (211-94, college: DePaul, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was South Sudanese center Makur Puou (206-94, college: New Orleans, agency: PEPI SPORT) who recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds and forward Luksa Buljevic (200-0, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Split and four Dubrava players scored in double figures. Dubrava's coach Vladimir Krstic gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Split have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-4 record behind leader Zadar. Dubrava at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Split are looking forward to face Sibenik (#7) at home in the next round. Dubrava will play against KK Zabok (#6) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
