The game in Brest supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Borisfen (14-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Brest (4-11). Borisfen smashed Brest 123-73 on Tuesday. Borisfen dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Brest's 40 and made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Borisfen forced 29 Brest turnovers and had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Brest's players. American swingman Tavin Cummings (196-92, college: Concordia, AL) nailed 16 points and 8 assists for the winning side and the former international guard Viachaslau Korzh (196-86) accounted for 17 points and 7 assists. Cummings is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Borisfen players scored in double figures. Forward Dmitriy Solyshko (196-96) came up with 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Brest in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Borisfen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 14-2 record behind leader Grodno. Loser Brest dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Borisfen will meet at home Rubon (#5) in the next round. Brest will play against Tsmoki II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
