Regular Season Round 28: Prievidza - Nova Ves 83-64

Top ranked Nova Ves (15-9) recorded its ninth loss on the court of sixth ranked Prievidza on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Prievidza 83-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nova Ves. Prievidza looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Montenegrin power forward Dragan Bjeletic (205-92) fired 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Grant Sitton (206-93, college: Victoria) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Serbian Milan Nikolic (200-92) produced 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Serbian forward Marko Stevanovic (203-94) added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Prievidza maintains sixth position with 8-14 record. Nova Ves at the other side still keep top place with nine games lost. Prievidza are looking forward to face higher ranked Levice (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Nova Ves will play against Inter Bratislava and are hoping to win this game.
