Regular Season Round 3: Hrunamenn - Skallagrimur 88-86

Important game to mention about took place in Fludir. Hrunamenn (2-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging Skallagrimur (1-2) 88-86 on Friday evening. It was a good game for American point guard Corey Taite (180-96, college: GBC, agency: Green Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with 49 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Florijan Jovanov (197-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Mustapha Traore (203-95, college: Monmouth) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Skallagrimur. Five Skallagrimur players scored in double figures. Skallagrimur's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hrunamenn will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Skallagrimur will play at home against Selfoss (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
