Regular Season Round 18: Sodertalje - Koping Stars 96-80

Basketligan top team - SBBK (14-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat sixth ranked Koping Stars (7-10) in Sodertalje 96-80. The game was mostly controlled by SBBK. Koping Stars managed to win third quarter 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when SBBK won last quarter 33-19. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Viktor Gaddefors (201-92) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Anton Gaddefors (200-89) chipped in 32 points and 5 rebounds. Four SBBK players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Craig Victor II (206-95, college: LSU) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard CJ Jackson (185-96, college: Ohio St.) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Koping Stars' coach Panagiotis Nikolaidis let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. SBBK have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-2 record. Loser Koping Stars keep the sixth place with ten games lost. SBBK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Koping Stars will play against BC Lulea (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
