Regular Season Round 15: Mark - A3 Basket 64-89

Not a big story in a game in Kinna where 11th ranked Mark (2-12) was rolled over by second ranked A3 Basket (12-2) 89-64. It looked good early as Mark took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then A3 Basket had a 21-16 second period charge getting the lead and Mark was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-89. They outrebounded Mark 44-25 including a 13-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. A3 Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Mark's players. It was a good game for German center Ama Degbeon (188-95, college: FSU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. German guard Emma Stach (175-96, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five A3 Basket players scored in double figures. Coach Jan Enjebo's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Taylor Edwards (175, college: ODU) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Linn Larsson (178-99) added 13 points in the effort for Mark. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for A3 Basket. They maintain second place with 12-2 record having four points less than leader Alvik Basket. Mark at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. A3 Basket's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Helsingborg (#12) at home and are hoping to win another game. Mark will play against Sodertalje and hope to win that game.
