Very predictable result when fourth ranked Sant Adria (12-5) outscored at home 11th ranked Almeda (4-13) 64-38 on Saturday. Sant Adria forced 24 Almeda turnovers. Mariona Teixido fired 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marina Valles (173-98, college: NW Nazarene) chipped in 11 points. Marina Avinoa produced 11 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Claudia Baraut (182-94) added 10 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sant Adria have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 12-5 record, which they share with Plasencia. Newly promoted Almeda keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Sant Adria will face Girona (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Almeda will play against Andratx and hope to win that game.
