Rather predictable result in Santander where second ranked Estela (10-2) beat 5th ranked Clavijo (8-7) 91-83 on Saturday. Estela dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Clavijo's 20. Estela forced 19 Clavijo turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Fernando Sierra (194-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. American center Thomas Granado (208-88, college: CUI) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Estela players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jaume Lobo (180-97) who recorded 28 points and guard Albert Lafuente (185-99) added 15 points respectively. Clavijo's coach Jenaro Diaz let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
