Everything could happen in Thessaloniki at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Aris and 12th ranked Charilaos had identical 3-8 record. This time Aris used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Mesolongi 77-48 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Aris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Ioannis Kouzeloglou (204-95) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Quenton DeCosey (196-93, college: Temple) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Toddrick Gotcher (192-93, college: Texas Tech, agency: Alti Sport) who recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import center Darel Poirier (208-97) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aris (4-8) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Ionikos Nikaias. Charilaos lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Aris' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Thessaloniki to the arena Iraklis.
