Very expected game when 12th ranked Sassari (3-12) was crushed on the road by third ranked Bologna (14-3) 86-65 on Saturday. Bologna dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sassari's 26. They outrebounded Sassari 46-28 including 33 on the defensive glass. Bologna looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Sassari's players. Australian center Abby Bishop (189-88) stepped up and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Croatian forward Ana-Marija Begic (191-94) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds.
