No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Albacete (10-4) defeated at home 12th ranked Cornella (3-9) 75-67 on Saturday. Albacete forced 23 Cornella turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Victor Aguilar (185-98, agency: BIG) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Victor Ruiz (200-95, college: Academy of Art, agency: Promo Sport ID) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Albacete players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Victor Serrano (211-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and forward Isaac Mayo (195-1) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Cornella's coach Juan Couto let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Albacete moved-up to third place in Silver. Newly promoted Cornella dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Albacete will face Gran Canaria 2 (#5) in Las Palmas in the next round. Cornella will play at home against L'Hospitalet (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
