Rather predictable result when Pozega rolled over at home FSV Rijeka 102-76 on Saturday. Pozega made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 FSV Rijeka turnovers. FSV Rijeka was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Jelena Ivezic (183-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals (made all of her eight free throws). DR Congolese power forward La Mama Kapinga Maweja (194-97) contributed with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Ivona Kajfes (169-1) answered with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Brazilian forward Maira Andrade (181-95) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for FSV Rijeka. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pozega will face Zagreb at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. FSV Rijeka will play against Split and hope to win that game.
