Regular Season Round 8: Alessandria - Oleggio 48-85

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Alessandria (0-8) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Oleggio (5-3) 85-48 on Saturday. Oleggio forced 21 Alessandria turnovers. The best player for the winners was power forward Leonardo Okeke (204-3) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international Andrea Pilotti (195-80) chipped in 15 points. Oleggio's coach Franco Passera felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alberto Apuzzo (186-0) produced 11 points and 6 rebounds and center Fabio Dal Maso (200-99) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Oleggio moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 8 other teams. Loser Alessandria still closes the standings with eight games lost. Oleggio will face Cesena (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alessandria will play against Omegna and hopes to get finally their first victory.
