Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Viladecans (11-6) won against at home 7th ranked Casablanca (8-9) 68-63 on Saturday. Viladecans forced 21 Casablanca turnovers. Sonia Pascual (-83) fired 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Marta Claret (185-92) chipped in 12 points. Forward Beatriz Royo (176-91) produced 8 points and 12 rebounds and Cristina Villamor (-1) added 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Viladecans maintains fifth position with 11-6 record. Loser Casablanca keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Viladecans will face Sant Josep (#9) in the next round. Casablanca will play against the league's leader Barca CBS and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Liga Dia just one year after relegation.
