Serie A top team - Armani Milano (15-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Treviso (7-9) 82-77. Armani Milano made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. American center Zach LeDay (202-94, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Wasserman) stepped up and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners and Spanish guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Armani Milano's coach Ettore Messina allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Polish swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Nigerian forward Christian Mekowulu (205-95, college: Texas A&M) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four Treviso players scored in double figures. Armani Milano have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-1 record. Treviso at the other side dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Reggio Emilia. Armani Milano will play against Trieste (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Treviso will play against Brescia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
