Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ancona (5-3) against fourteenth ranked Giulianova (3-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Ancona was defeated by Giulianova in Giulianova 86-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ancona. They outrebounded Ancona 33-17 including 26 on the defensive glass. The former international power forward Alessandro Paesano (203-93) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Gianmarco Leggio (202-94) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ancona's coach Stefano Rajola let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Giulianova moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Civitanova and Ozzano. Ancona at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 8 other teams. Giulianova will meet at home Civitanova (#9) in the next round. Ancona will play against Jesi (#15) and hope to secure a win.
