Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Vigarano (1-14) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Schio (14-2) 90-43 on Tuesday. Schio dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Vigarano's 24. Schio forced 23 Vigarano turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Belgian Kim Mestdagh (179-90, college: Colorado St.) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and French center Sandrine Gruda (193-87) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Schio players scored in double figures. Ukrainian power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-95) responded with 7 points and 15 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (178-91) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Vigarano's coach Andrea Castelli gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Schio. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Vigarano lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Schio will face Broni (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vigarano will play against Ragusa and hope to win that game.
