Leader Parnu delivered the seventeenth victory on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Tartu (6-12) 87-65. Parnu dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tartu's 30. Parnu forced 19 Tartu turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Tartu's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Mart Rosenthal (193-99) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and Latvian center Lauris Blaus (206-90) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Parnu's coach Heiko Rannula felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swedish point guard Charles Barton (193-92, college: Oregon St.) responded with 12 points and 5 assists and Hendrik Eelmae (200-0) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Parnu (17-3) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Loser Tartu keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. Parnu will meet Tarvas (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tartu will play against Kalev/Cramo and hope to secure a win.
