Regular Season Round 18: Rydzyna - Miedzychod 96-77

An interesting game for Rycerze (14-2) which hosted in Rydzyna second-best Miedzychod (12-3). First ranked Rycerze had an easy win 96-77. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Miedzychod. Rycerze made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Miedzychod's players. The former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and center Szymon Milczynski (204-93) chipped in 10 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Five Rycerze players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) with 27 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Jakub Nowak (186-89) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rycerze have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Rycerze maintains first position in Group D with 14-2 record. Miedzychod at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Rycerze will play against Tarnovia (#5) in Tarnowo Podgorne in the next round. Miedzychod will play at home against Pleszew and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
