Regular Season Round 18: Slask 3 - Katy Wroc. 84-78

There was an upset when higher ranked Katy Wroc. (9-8) lost to twelfth ranked Slask 3 (5-12) in Wroclaw 78-84 on Saturday. It was a good game for guard Kacper Marchewka (192-2) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Jakub Bereszynski (197-4) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Michal Lipinski (185-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists and swingman Grzegorz Kaczmarek (193-83) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Katy Wroc.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Slask 3 moved-up to ninth place in Group D, which they share with Poznan. Loser Katy Wroc. keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Slask 3's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Wroclaw to the arena Gimbasket.
