Regular Season Round 24: Slask - Trefl 82-85

The most exciting game of round 24 in the EBL took place in Wroclaw. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd ranked WKS Slask (16-7) to sixth ranked Trefl (14-9) 85-82 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of WKS Slask. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Lukasz Kolenda (196-99) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 assists and the former international center Dominik Olejniczak (213-96, college: FSU) who added 14 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: NC State) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Kyle Gibson (196-87, college: Louisiana Tech) scored 19 points. Four WKS Slask players scored in double figures. Trefl maintains sixth position with 14-9 record. WKS Slask at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Trefl are looking forward to face GTK (#10) in Gliwice in the next round. WKS Slask will play at home against BM Slam Stal (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
