Regular Season Round 15: Chartres - Montbrison 93-70

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Montbrison (3-9) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Chartres (7-4) 93-70. They made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Chartres forced 19 Montbrison turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Montbrison was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for power forward Kekelly Elenga (184-91) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Elise Marie (164-95) contributed with 9 points, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Chartres players scored in double figures. Forward Natalia Farkasova (183-99, agency: LBM Management) answered with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Bulgarian forward Radoslava Bachvarova (182-87, college: VCU) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Montbrison. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chartres moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Reims. Montbrison at the other side keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Chartres will play against Mondeville (#7) on the road in the next round. Montbrison will play against Reims (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
