Everything went according to plan when third ranked Crema (11-3) beat at home 14th ranked Carugate (1-13) 67-55 on Sunday. Power forward Alice Nori (183-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and guard Francesca Melchiori (174-93, agency: SLN) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Crema players scored in double figures. Power forward Silvia Colognesi (182-2) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and naturalized Serbian guard Milica Micovic (182-84) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Crema maintains third place in A2 with 11-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Udine. Loser Carugate keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Crema will face Ponzano (#9) in Veneto in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
