Regular Season Round 14: Mondragon - Easo 79-62

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Easo (3-5) was defeated on the road by first ranked Mondragon (6-1) 79-62 on Sunday. Mondragon outrebounded Easo 46-32 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Martin Buesa (204-88) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Daniel Lorenzo (181-93) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Mondragon's coach Inaki Ogara used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Martin Dorronsoro (200-1) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and Gorka Etxezarreta (192-97) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Mondragon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A-A with 6-1 record. Loser Easo keeps the eighth place with five games lost. Mondragon will face Baskonia B (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Easo will play against Valle de Egues in Olaz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
