Regular Season Round 9: Roseto - Civitanova 77-75

Fifteenth-ranked Civitanova (3-6) was very close to win a game against first ranked Roseto (7-2). Roseto managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. Roseto dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Civitanova's 24 and made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80) who scored 21 points. Guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Roseto players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Riccardo Casagrande (196-88) who recorded 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Marco Lusvarghi (205-97) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Roseto. They maintain first place with 7-2 record, which they share with Faenza. Civitanova at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Roseto's next round opponent will be Fabriano (#3) on the road, which may be the game of the day. Civitanova will play against Jesi (#11) and hope to win that game.
