Regular Season Round 16: San Severo - Latina 66-70

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked San Severo (3-9) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Latina (4-9) 70-66 on Sunday. San Severo was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Davide Raucci (198-90, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and the former international point guard Marco Passera (180-82) who added 8 points and 10 assists during the contest. Four Latina players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Slovakian guard Andre Jones (191-90, college: Winthrop) responded with 21 points and naturalized American power forward Cristopher Mortellaro (208-82, college: Drury) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. San Severo's coach Lino Lardo tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Latina moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Loser San Severo dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost. Latina will face league's second-placed Napoli at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. San Severo will play against Pistoia (#6) and hope to win that game.
