The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Armani Milano (15-2) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by seventh ranked Trieste (9-8) 100-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Armani Milano. Trieste shot 65.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Trieste looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Armani Milano's players. Naturalized Argentinian guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple) scored 24 points, 7 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-93) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Kyle Hines (198-86, agency: BeoBasket) with 15 points and the former international forward Luigi Datome (203-87) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trieste moved-up to sixth place. Armani Milano at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Trieste are looking forward to face Brescia (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Armani Milano will have a break next round.
