Not a big story in a game in Aanekoski where 11th ranked Pyrinto Ak.B (6-10) was rolled over by sixth ranked Kipina (8-7) 88-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. Kipina led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Pyrinto Ak.B's 36. Kipina forced 19 Pyrinto Ak.B turnovers and outrebounded them 51-37 including 37 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Pyrinto Ak.B's players. It was a great evening for Lauri Jantti (202-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. French Steve Robinson helped adding 20 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Four Kipina players scored in double figures. Kipina's coach Joni Hautsalo felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Brunel Madzou (183-5) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Eemeli Niemi (183-3) scored 15 points. Newly promoted Kipina maintains sixth place in 1st Division with 8-7 record. Loser Pyrinto Ak.B dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Kipina will face Ura Basket II (#7) in Kaarina in the next round. Pyrinto Ak.B will play on the road against PuHu Juniorit (#3) in Vantaa and hope to win that game.
