We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-8) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-9) 98-86 on Wednesday. Bnei Hasharon made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Bnei Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 25 points and 9 assists for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Terell Parks (205-91, college: W.Illinois, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Yam Madar (190-0, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and American forward Reggie Upshaw Jr (203-95, college: MTSU) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon moved-up to tenth place. Loser Hapoel Tel-Aviv dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Bnei Hasharon will face higher ranked Hapoel Holon (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against H.Haifa (#5) and hope to win that game.
