The game in Reykjavik was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Thor Thorl (5-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Valur (3-5). Thor Thorl did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-67. Valur was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 47-25 second half run of Thor Thorl. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Valur's 32. They outrebounded Valur 44-26 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lithuanian center Adomas Drungilas (205-90) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Styrmir Thrastarson (200-1) accounted for 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Valur players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Thor Thorl moved-up to third place, which they share with Grindavik and IR. Valur at the other side dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Thor Thorl's next round opponent will be Hottur (#10) in Egilsstadir and are hoping to win another game. Valur will play on the road against Haukar in Hafnarfjordur and hope to win that game.
