Regular Season Round 25: Slask - Stal Ostrow 98-97

The most exciting game of round 25 in the EBL took place in Wroclaw. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed BM Slam Stal (16-9) to second ranked WKS Slask (17-8) 98-97 on Thursday evening. WKS Slask made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American swingman Kyle Gibson (196-87, college: Louisiana Tech) fired 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Elijah Stewart (196-95, college: USC) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Christopher Smith (193-94, college: Utah St.) produced 26 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American-Syrian point guard Trey Kell (193-96, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) added 22 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. WKS Slask maintains second place with 17-8 record having six points less than leader Zastal Enea, which they share with Legia. BM Slam Stal at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. WKS Slask is looking forward to face GTK (#10) in Gliwice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BM Slam Stal will play on the road against MKS DG (#9) in Dabrowa Gornicza and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
