The game between third ranked Grindavik (5-3) and fifth ranked IR (5-3) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Grindavik was crushed by IR in Reykjavik 98-76. The game without a history. IR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Coastal) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Olafur Olafsson (194-90) who recorded 22 points and 7 rebounds and Estonian forward Joonas Jarvelainen (202-90) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. IR moved-up to third place, which they share with Grindavik and Thor Thorl. IR is looking forward to face league's second-placed Stjarnan on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grindavik will play against KR and is hoping to win this game.
