We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when thirteenth ranked Cornella (4-9) beat at home 12th ranked L'Hospitalet (4-9) 63-51 on Saturday. They outrebounded L'Hospitalet 45-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of center Victor Serrano (211-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Prince Orizu (208-94) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Cornella players scored in double figures. Cornella's coach Juan Couto used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Brett Hanson (188-97, college: FSC) responded with 8 points and 10 rebounds and guard Edgar San Epifanio (196-87) scored 12 points. Cornella moved-up to twelfth place in Silver. Cornella will face La Roda (#14) on the road in the next round. L'Hospitalet will play against Gran Canaria 2 and hope to win that game.
