Regular Season Round 24: Nokia - KTP Basket 101-87

The game with biggest result difference took place in Nokia. Local Nokia (10-6) beat 8th ranked KTP Basket (7-9) 101-87. The game was mostly controlled by Nokia. KTP Basket was better in third quarter 29-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nokia players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for American guard Daeshon Francis (193-96, college: UTPB) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international point guard Antero Lehto (185-84) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) replied with 25 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Braxton Huggins (196-96, college: Fresno St., agency: One Motive Sports) added 26 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KTP Basket. Five Nokia and four KTP Basket players scored in double figures. Nokia maintains fifth position with 10-6 record. KTP Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. Nokia will play against higher ranked Vilpas (#4) in Salo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KTP Basket will play at home against Kouvot (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
