Regular Season Round 10: Olginate - Varese 69-60

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Olginate (4-6) won against at home 9th ranked Varese (4-6) 69-60 on Saturday. They outrebounded Varese 43-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Power forward Giovanni Lenti (200-96, agency: BIG) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Giacomo Bloise (180-90) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Olginate's coach Giorgio Contigiani used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Marco Allegretti (204-81) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Matteo Maruca (185-97) scored 12 points. Olginate moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Varese. Olginate will face league's second-placed Vigevano on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
