There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Gijon (5-8) won against at home 9th ranked Zentro Basket (5-6) 90-85 on Saturday. Gijon had a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Alejandro Marin (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and point guard Arturo Fernandez (182-90) who added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Nacho Rodriguez (200-94) responded with 25 points and 6 assists and guard Marc Garcia (186-1, agency: Best of You Sports) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Zentro Basket's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gijon moved-up to eleventh place in Silver. Newly promoted Zentro Basket keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Gijon will face Moron (#14) in Morón de la Frontera in the next round.
