Regular Season Round 15: Alfinden - Vic 64-60

There was a surprise result in Zaragoza where sixth ranked Alfinden (2-4) beat second-best Vic (4-3) 64-60 on Saturday. Vic was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American swingman Charles Knowles (196-93, college: William Penn) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Jose Malo (203-96) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Adrian Sanchez (200-94) with 8 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Gambian forward Omar Toure (199-94) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Alfinden maintains sixth place in Group C3 with 2-4 record. Loser Vic dropped to the third position with three games lost. Alfinden will face league's second-placed Martinenc in Barcelona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
