Very important is a road loss of second ranked Scrivia (11-4) against fourteenth ranked Carugate (2-13) on Saturday night. Visiting Scrivia was defeated by Carugate in Corugate 77-65. Carugate forced 19 Scrivia turnovers. Naturalized Serbian guard Milica Micovic (182-84) notched 21 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and swingman Sara Canova (180-89, agency: SLN) supported her with 17 points. Carugate's coach Stefano Fassina allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by Croatian center Emilija Podrug (190-79) did not help to save the game for Scrivia. Forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (172-94) added 16 points. Carugate maintains fourteenth position in A2 with 2-13 record. Scrivia at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. Carugate will play against higher ranked Alpo (#6) in Verona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Scrivia will play on the road against the league's second-placed Crema where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
